A little soundtrack to help you get creative in the kitchen (May playlist)
I have been obsessively reading the new book Something to Food About, by Questlove (from one of my all-time favourite bands, The Roots).
The subject matter is chef culture, the future of food and the concept of creativity. If any of those topics resonate with you, you need to buy this book. It’s so good. Crazy inspiring.
So, as an homage to my chosen reading material this month, I thought that May’s playlist could perhaps be organized around inspiring a bit of creativity in your own kitchen.
Now, don’t get me wrong – there is no molecular cuisine happening chez Nielsen. But I flex my creative muscle every time I create a simple, healthy recipe for this blog…or I need a creative solution to squeezing dinner from an improperly stocked fridge (because shopping takes advance planning).
Creativity is for all…not just the master chefs. Enjoy these gorgeous spring days and eat well!!
XO, Desiree
