Equipment

  • Food Processor or high speed blender

Ingredients

  • 3 cups dry roasted peanuts salted or unsalted

Optional, for flavouring

  • salt
  • cane sugar

Instructions

  • Place the peanuts in the food processor. Process until the nuts turn into a silky butter, scraping if necessary, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a resealable jar and store at room temperature for up to a week or the refrigerator for up to one month.

Notes

Tip! If your food processor isn't strong, you may have more luck by warming the peanuts to get the oils going. Just toast at 300F for 10 minutes before processing.
