Equipment

  • High Speed Blender

Ingredients

  • 3 inch piece of ginger peeled
  • ¼ cup raw local honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric

Instructions

  • Place ginger, honey, lemon juice, water and turmeric in a small bullet or blender. Blend on high until liquifed, about 45 seconds.
  • Enjoy as is, or strain the mixture for a smoother shot. Use a nut bag or extra fine sieve over a bowl, squeezing as much liquid out of the pulp as you can. Pour into an airtight mason jar and store in the fridge for up to one week. Stir well before using.
  • Use ¼ cup as a shot, or add to a mug of boiling water to make a tea, or tall glass of sparkling water.

Notes

If all you have is a large format high speed blender, I highly recommend doubling the recipe so it's super easy to blend!
If you're worried about using it up, you can just freeze it in ice cube trays for later.
