Broccoli is the original “superfood” so get more of this nutritious and healthy green on your plate! One of the cruciferous veggies, broccoli contains powerful sulfur-based phytochemicals called isothiocyanates that are anti-inflammatory and help to promote optimal health. A half cup of cooked broccoli contains 2 grams each of protein and fiber, as well as small amounts of calcium, iron and magnesium. 

Packed with folate and beta-carotene, broccoli is delicious roasted, added to this chickpea coconut milk curry, eaten as a vegan broccoli salad or even blended into broccoli pesto!
